Conference on ISO 9001:2015

Innovation and Technology Commission and the Council co-organised the Conference on ISO 9001:2015 (Programme). The conference is part of the programme of the ISO/TC 176 Meeting in Hong Kong and it is sponsored by the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council.

First published in 1987, ISO 9001 is one of the most widely used ISO Standards around the world and in Hong Kong. It sets out the standard requirement for quality management system that facilitates businesses and organisations in various scale in improving their productivity and efficiency, resulting in cost reduction. ISO 9001 certification also helps business and organisations in enhancing customer satisfaction and establishing their branding

To ensure that the standard remains relevant to today's business environment, Technical Committee 176 (TC 176) of the International Oragnization for Standardization (ISO) regularly review and update the international standard. The latest version ISO 9001:2015 has been released in September 2015.

Dr Nigel H. Croft, Chair of SC2, the subcommittee responsible for the ISO 9001 and ISO 9004 standards, was invited to make a presentation on ISO 9001:2015. (Presentation).
