室內空氣質素檢驗

為改善室內空氣質素，以及加強公眾對這方面的關注，環境保護署推出自願參與的「室內空氣質素檢定計劃」。室內空氣質素檢驗機構會就計劃提供下列測量及檢驗服務 :

• 實地視察處所/樓宇
• 實地量度多項室內空氣質素參數
  （例如空氣流動速度、一氧化碳及總揮發性有機化合物等）
• 評核室內空氣質素是否符合指標

樓宇診斷測試

為配合實施強制驗樓計劃，認可實驗所現正提供下列的樓宇診斷測試服務，協助註冊人員掌握有關樓宇狀況（例如混凝土強度、滲水情況、侵蝕情況、混凝土剝落情況等）的客觀證據，從而確保樓宇安全 :

• 碳化測試
• 氯化物含量測量
• 鋼筋深度檢測
• 半電位法測試
• 紅外線熱像圖法
• 電阻率測量

什麼是香港實驗所認可計劃及香港檢驗機構認可計劃的認可服務？

認可服務提供品質保證。香港特別行政區政府創新科技署轄下的香港認可處，根據香港實驗所認可計劃及/或香港檢驗機構認可計劃向機構發出認可資格。這些計劃是自願性質的。只有符合國際標準ISO/IEC 17025或ISO/IEC 17020的實驗所/檢驗機構，才會獲發認可資格。

使用香港實驗所認可計劃/香港檢驗機構認可計劃認可機構的好處

• 測試/檢驗結果可靠，能節省時間及金錢。
• 測試/檢驗結果獲本地及世界各地廣泛接納。
• 透過嚴格的評審工作密切監察獲認可機構的表現。

What types of testing and inspection services are available in Hong Kong for buildings and construction materials?

Laboratory and on-site testing services

• Physical testing of construction materials
• Foundation and geotechnical testing

Indoor air quality inspection

To improve the indoor air quality (IAQ) and promote public awareness, a voluntary IAQ Certification Scheme is launched by Environmental Protection Department. IAQ inspection bodies provide measurement and inspection services for the scheme:

• Walkthrough inspection of premises/buildings
• On-site measurements of IAQ parameters
  (e.g. air movement, CO and TVOC, etc.)
• IAQ compliance assessment

Building diagnostic testing

To facilitate the implementation of Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme (MBIS), HOKLAS-accredited laboratories are providing the following building diagnostic tests to help registered personnel in obtaining objective evidence on building conditions such as concrete strength, water seepage, corrosion, spalling concrete, etc. to ensure building safety:

• Carbonation test
• Chloride content determination
• Covermeter survey
• Half-cell potential measurement
• Infrared thermography
• Resistivity measurement
• Surface hardness measurement
• Surface penetration radar survey
• Ultrasonic pulse velocity measurement

What are HOKLAS and HKIAS Accreditation?

Accreditation gives you quality assurance. The Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) under the Innovation and Technology Commission of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region grants accreditation to organisations under the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) and/or the Hong Kong Inspection Body Accreditation Scheme (HKIAS). These are voluntary schemes. Only laboratories/inspection bodies meeting the requirements of international standards ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO/IEC 17020 can achieve accreditation.

The Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region set up the Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification (www.hkctc.gov.hk), an advisory body, in September 2009 to drive the development of the industry, to raise its professional standards and to enhance the recognition of the industry in the international area by building up a brand name for Hong Kong's testing and certification services.
